24 Mobile Advertising Solutions new CEO invests in Asia, Android and Applications Stores
03Mar2010
24 Mobile Advertising Solutions has recruited a "veteran" in the mobile industry.
03 March 2010 - Tero Turunen, well-known sports profile that participated in two Olympic Games, will lead the 100 strong company in an international expansion with the partnership of telecom carriers, application developers and advertisers.
Tero Turunen has embraced his new role, having begun traveling and meeting with customers, partners and staff in 24 MAS offices located in Asia and Europe. Initially, Turunen will work to strengthen 24 MAS’ position as a strategic partner for global telecom carriers, and to establish new distribution channels via their Application Stores.
“The mobile industry is a very fast growing market and success comes down to being prepared for change. Asia’s two billion mobile phones users, Google's new mobile operating system Android, as well as comprehensive support for Application Stores, are crucial areas identified for a viable future in the mobile industry," said Tero Turunen. “What drew me to 24 MAS was its strong history and unique position in the market, a workable business model for the future and the experience of many successful international launches,” he added.
24 MAS chairman, Martin Carlesund, sees the recruitment of Turunen as a positive step for the organization - "I am proud and happy that we managed to recruit Tero. His experience and contacts are important for many of the markets 24 MAS will expand into during 2010,” says Carlesund.
Tero Turunen joins the company from the European group MINICK where he has been CEO since 2006. He is 42 years old and currently lives in Zurich.
